Kid’s Day of Lexington gave local youngsters a great time

Posted

The 23rd annual Kid’s Day of Lexington was held on Saturday, April 27. Palmetto Chiropractic Center was the headlining sponsor of Kid’s Day. The mission of Kid’s Day of Lexington is to “create a better community by educating and caring for families with love, honest and laughter.” 34 local businesses were sponsors for Kid’s Day. The event was held at the Lexington Municipal Complex and the Icehouse Amphitheater from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everything is free at Kid’s Day as none of the vendors are allowed to sell anything. Each of the vendors had several free items for the kids. Those items included pens, crayons, coloring books, toys, stick-on badges, Legos, hotdogs, bottled water, small plants, pizza and more. Lexington Library had many free books for the children and they gave out red canvas bags which the children could fill with what books they wanted. This year, Lego Land had a huge display for the kids over at the Ice House area.
