House of Raeford to is planning to hold its third Community Chicken Sale, at the SC State Farmer’s Market, Tuesday, April 21.
The first sale drew long lines. The second sale, at heavily discounted prices drew twice as many as first. It was supposed to end at noon, but it did not end until after 6 p.m.
Chuck Underhill of House of Raeford said: “We are trying our best to help meet the enormous need our community has, and we have scheduled a third chicken sale."
Underhill said many familes may not have access to product, and the lower prices help for those who may be unemployed due to the coronavirus.
