South Carolina basketball teams postpone games due to covid-19

Posted

Covid-19 has once again sidelined both South Carolina basketball teams.

Thursday started with the women’s team announcing the postponement on its planned game against Georgia. The Gamecocks paused all team activities until further notice following the combination of a positive test, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the program.

At this time, no makeup date has been determined, but tickets for the Georgia game will be honored on the makeup date for the matchup. South Carolina women's basketball season ticket holders will receive an email from the ticket office with more information.

The next game is scheduled Sunday at Kentucky.

Similar news was announced in regards to men’s basketball as it had to postpone Saturday’s contest against Ole Miss.

This marked the 6th game this season either cancelled or postponed for South Carolina, who were coming off 2 straight wins over Florida A&M and Texas A&M.
