Local business and civic leaders have created an incentive for businesses to safely re-open.

Lexington Chamber President Otis Rawl, Columbia Chamber President Carl Blackstone and Lexington Mayor Steve MacDougall met to create a pledge to the public.

Once a business signs the pledge, they are eligible to display a poster in their window.

The posters were created, printed and donated by Lou and Bill Kennedy of Nephron Pharmaceuticals.

By signing the pledge, businesses promise to follow CDC and DHEC guidelines to:

  • Promote social distancing
  • Limit capacity in their building
  • Monitor the health of their employees
  • Clean frequently
  • Encourage face covering and hand sanitizing

Businesses can sign the pledge online a www.lexingtonsc.org or by visiting the chamber offices.
Businesses do not have to be members of either chamber of commerce.

Otis Rawl, Steve MacDougall, Carl Blackstone, Lou Kennedy, Bill Kennedy, Nephron
