Dominion Energy is oiffering a bill pay assistance program for low-income, disabled and elderly customers.

The EnergyShare program started with $250,000 funded by shareholders and administered by the SC Office of Economic Opportunity.

EnergyShare is a year-round program which helps qualified customers pay for electric and natural gas services.

Since its start in 1986, more than $9.2 million in contributions have assisted customers.

In 2019, Dominion Energy South Carolina customers, employees and retirees contributed $155,000 to the program.

Program funds will be distributed among 12 community action agencies in Dominion Energy South Carolina’s service area.

In mid-March, Dominion suspended disconnections during the pandemic.
