Mayor elected to Municipal Association Board

Shull is 1st elected from Batesburg-Leesville

Batesburg-Leesville Mayor Lancer Shull has been elected to the Municipal Association of South Carolina’s Board of Directors.

The 18-member board of elected and appointed officials sets policy for the association.

Mayor Shull is the first Batesburg-Leesville council member to be elected.  

Formed in 1930, the Municipal Association of South Carolina represents and serves the state’s 271 incorporated municipalities. The Association offers its members services, programs, and tools that give municipal officials and staff the knowledge, experience and tools to enable efficient and effective operation of their municipalities in the complex world of municipal government.

Elected as Mayor of Batesburg-Leesville in 2017, he is focused on education, redevelopment and economic prosperity.

Mayor Shull is a husband and father, former District 3 School Board Secretary, Batesburg-Leesville Chamber of Commerce Chairman, President of Batesburg-Leesville Rotary Club and member of the Lexington County Accommodations Committee.
