Lexington County Cross-Country Championships
Teams from throughout the Midlands took part in the Lexington County Cross-Country championships Tuesday at Lexington High School. It was a 1-2-3 finish for the Lexington boys who won for the 13th consecutive time. Zander Jeffcoat placed 1st in the boys' division with a time of 15:48.78. He was followed by Owen Harries and Grant Goldsmith. Lexington won the overall boys with a total team time of 1:23:59.25, followed by Chapin, River Bluff, Dutch Fork and White Knoll to round out the Top 5. In the girls' division, the Lady Wildcats completed the sweep as Sarae Rufener finished 1st in the event with a time of 19:34.60. Chapin's Abigail White was 2nd, followed by Lexington's Ava Fowler. The Lady Wildcats beat out Chapin, Dutch Fork, Northside Christian Academy and River Bluff. Up next is the Lake Murray Invitational.
