3 Lexington County graduates join S.C. National Guard

Three Lexington County residents have joined the S.C. Army National Guard. They were welcomed during a Battle-Handoff ceremony held at the Joint Forces Headquarters building in Columbia in February. Amanda Hoffkins of Lexington has joined the 198th Signal Battalion. She received basic training at Fort Leonardwood and advanced training at Fort Lee. She is a graduate of Lexington High School. Tristan Smith of Gilbert joined the 124th Engineer Company. He received his basic training at Fort Benning and advanced training at Fort Leonardwood. He is a graduate of Gilbert High School. Romley Wallace of Lexington joined the 118th Infantry Battalion. He received basic and advanced training at Fort Benning. He is a graduate of River Bluff High School.
