September is National Falls Prevention Month.
Preventing a fall is easy with these steps:
• Find good balance by doing balance and strength exercises.
• Review medications with your doctor.
• Arrange annual vision and hearing checks.
• Increase lighting in dim areas at home and work.
• Make stairs safe, and install grab bars where needed.
• Talk to your healthcare provider about fall prevention.
Make sure to help your loved ones and yourself by taking action.
