How to avoid neck pain

Have you ever fallen asleep while riding in a car?
If so, you know that feeling when you awake.
The painful feeling like you need to adjust your neck.
There are many different ways that we create neck pain for ourselves.
The main way to prevent it is to make sure your head stays balanced directly over your spine.
Our heads are heavy – about 10-12 pounds.
Posture is key when sitting at your desk at work or home.
Adjust your chair to where your feet are flat on the ground and your back touches the seat. You may use a pillow to cushion your lower back.
Always make sure that your screen is at eye level.
The same goes for when you’re reading a book. Keep the book upright and your posture straight.
Get up and move around every 30 minutes to stretch.
When speaking on a telephone, avoid tilting your head to one side.
