How do you love?

Posted

We all want to have someone in our lives to love and care for.
The question is, do you know how to give love?
Everyone’s definition of love can be slightly different.
Physical touch is one of the 5 “love languages.” That’s what author Gary Chapman calls the 5 ways we express and experience love.
Did you know that children require at least 8 physical touches a day to feel connected to a parent?
Children also need at least 1 eye-to-eye conversation everyday.
There are 9 minutes out of the day that impact children the most:
• the first 3 minutes right after waking up
• the first 3 minutes after school
• the last 3 minutes before bed.
Hearts are a symbol of Valentine’s Day, and showing love can be heart healthy, too.
Sharing time with a loved one can lower blood pressure.
Being around a crush or significant other can release dopamine, endorphins and increase your adrenaline, which works your heart in a good way.
When you give a hug, your body releases oxytocin. It’s what makes you feel all gushy inside.
You could even try writing a love letter.
This Valentine’s Day how will you share your love with the ones who matter most?
