Limoncello is that delicious liqueur Italians make at home, but we buy at the store. If you don’t want to put it on your cake, serve it to the adults on the side along with coffee. It’s the perfect end to any dinner.
LEMON SUPREME POUND CAKE
1 pkg. Duncan Heinz Lemon Supreme Deluxe Cake Mix
1 pkg. instant lemon pudding mix
1/2 cup Crisco oil
1 cup water
4 eggs
Limoncello (optional)
Heat oven to 350º. Blend all ingredients except Limoncello in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed for two minutes. Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube or bundt pan. Bake 45-55 minutes, until center springs back when touched lightly. While still hot, pour about 1/4 to 1/2 cup Limoncello over cake. Allow to cool about 25 minutes. Then remove from pan. Blend 1 cup confectioners sugar with 2 Tbsp. milk and 2 Tbsp. lemon juice. Drizzle over cake.
