Think of all the things you touch on a daily basis.
Whether you’re at home, the office, gas station or a restaurant, hundreds of other people have touched what you’re touching.
Viruses and bacteria spread when you don’t wash your hands.
Here is what the Center for Disease Control suggests for safe hand washing:
    • Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold).
    • Apply soap.
    • Lather your hands by rubbing them together.
    • Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.
    • Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds.
Proper hand sanitation helps prevent intestinal illnesses, diarrhea, eye infections, respiratory tract infections, inflammation of the colon, and creates a safer environment for us all.
Children and babies are more prone to these illnesses.
Practice safe hand washing to keep them and yourself safe.
Next week: It’s RSV season
