COVID-19 is on everyone’s mind.
Schools have closed and some market shelves are bare.
Are you worried about how to protect yourself from COVID-19?
Here are some everyday prevention practices:
• Wash your hands frequently- make sure to wash your hands for 20 seconds and clean thoroughly underneath nails.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Stay home when you are sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Use 5 tablespoons bleach per gallon of water or 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water for cleaning purposes.
For more information on how to determine what to do next if you are sick, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-sick.html.
If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately.
In adults, emergency warning signs are:
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
• Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
• New confusion or inability to arouse
• Bluish lips or face
