Psoriasis and you

Psoriasis is the most common auto-immune disease.
While there are many forms, the most common form is Plaque Psoriasis.
This appears on your skin as raised red patches covered with white dead skin cells. It can be itchy and painful.
No, it is not contagious, but your diet can affect your symptoms.
Foods that can help with Psoriasis are fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat diary, and lean meats and fish.
While paying attention to your diet, be aware that many other diseases can develop. Certain eye disorders, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease are just a few.
Pay attention to your nails, if they begin to pull away from the nail bed or develop a yellowish-orange color, these are signs of Psoriatic Arthritis. See a dermatologist right away.
To help maintain healthy skin, you can use Fish Oil. While there is currently no cure for Psoriasis, various treatments can help with the symptoms.
