Lake Murray’s 2020 Reggaetronic Music Festival will have to wait till next year.
Reggaetronic’s Facebook page announced:
“Wow. It looks like covid has claimed yet another event.
"Yesterday, July 7, we received a letter that was the death nail in our plan to put on this event.”
Gov. Henry McMaster's executive order revoked the festival permit.
The festival features reggae, funk, rock and electronic music.
A portion of proceeds are donated to South Carolina nonprofit organizations.
The festival has raised over $10,000 for charitable organizations since 2011.
Refunds will be issued to those who were planning to attend.
