SC-6 One-Way Pair Project Changeover Announcement

Posted

The SC-6 One-Way Pair project is complete and in effect.

The Town of Lexington officially transitioned Lake Drive and Church Street to one-way roads starting Saturday, June 23.

The change is an effort to improve traffic flows in downtown Lexington.

For northbound traffic on South Lake Drive, the one-way roadway will begin on South Lake Drive at Maiden Lane and will extend to North Church Street.

Northbound traffic on South Lake Drive, at the intersection of Main Street, can continue straight on North Lake Driver or can turn right or left onto Main Street.

For southbound traffic traveling on North Lake Drive, the one-way roadway will begin at North Church Street and extend to Maiden Lane. Traffic can make a left onto Maiden Lane or can continue southbound on South Church Street.

Southbound traffic on North Church Street, at the intersection of Main Street, can continue straight on South Church Street or can turn right or left turn onto Main Street.

Officers will be assisting with the changeover by monitoring several key intersections along the route of the one-way pair project route through the weekend and into early next week.
