State health officials today reported 11 South Carolinains died of covid-19 Friday.
None were in Lexington County although 1 was in Richland County.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control reported:
1) 69 new confirmed cases in the county and 105 in Richland County.
2) In he state, 1,368 new confirmed cases, 12 new probable cases.
3) 74 new confirmed deaths and 8 new probable deaths.
These were cumulative deaths delayed in reporting.
Some occurred as far back as June 20.
This brings the total confirmed cases to 79,674, probable cases to 334, confirmed deaths to 1,412, and 53 probable deaths.
As of yesterday, 690,650 tests have been conducted in the state
7,202 individual test resultswere reported to DHEC yesterday.
19% tested positive as infected. That means 81% tested negative as virus free..
DHEC is working with community partners to set up mobile testing clinics in rural communities.
102 mobile testing events are scheduled through August 15.

Residents can visit scdhec.gov/covid19testing for information about getting tested at one of 214 permanent testing facilities.
