2 dead in I-26 collision

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the 2 individuals who died in a collision on Interstate 26 Thursday afternoon.

James G. Hoff, 78, and Terri Lee Hoff, 75, both of Fenton, Missouri, were pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic injuries. 

Their vehicle, driven by Mr. Hoff, struck the rear of a box truck that was stopped due to traffic near exit 119 westbound. Both individuals were wearing seat belts when the collision occurred. 

The driver of the box truck was not injured. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
