2 shot, killed in Batesburg-Leesville

Batesburg-Leesville Police Department, along with State Law Enforcement Division and Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, is investigating a double homicide that occurred Oct. 24. 

At approximately 9:15 pm Batesburg-Leesville Police Department responded to a local residence for the report of a gunshot victim. 

Upon arrival officers observed 2 victims who had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. EMS was notified and responded to the scene. 

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were identified as Richard DeQuincy Broadwater, 26, and Daniel Nathanial Robinson, 33.
