20 years for overpass shooting

Brandon Coleman, 24, of Batesburg, was sentenced today to 20 years in prison for the 2016 shooting of multiple vehicles along I-20 in Leesville.

Coleman was sentenced following a plea in Lexington County to Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature. He also received concurrent sentences of 10 years for 2 counts of Discharging a Firearm into a Vehicle. Under South Carolina law, this is a “no parole” offense.  

Coleman was on probation at the time of this offense. He will be transferred to the SC Department of Corrections to begin immediate service of his sentence.
