lt wasn't the America's Cup or the Spanish Armada but it broke a world record.

The July 5 "Trumptilla"  brought 30,000+ people and 3,417 boats to Lake Murray to show support for President Trump.

The Guinness Book of World Records, records the largest boat parade as 1,080 vessels, in Terengganu, Malaysia, in September 2014.

The Trump Boat Parade received international attention.

A Bangladesh news outlet traveled here to report on the event.

Chapin native Jason Cline and Greenville native Pressley Stutts organized it.

In an interview with Conservative Business Journal, Stutts said, "According to the 3rd party company whose expertise is counting people and things from the air, we had a record shattering 3,417 boats and over 30,000 people participating in the 'Trumptilla.”

Boaters from 9 states came to show support for Trump,

A man from Atlanta was the 1st there. He slept in his boat to be there for the Fox and Friends show at 8:30 am July 5.

Iraq war veteran Joseph Creswell dressed in a Trump suit and wig to show his support.

A man from Pennsylvania drove 12 hours to participate.

The 22-mile route was 16-17 miles long from front to back and 8-12 boats wide.

Pressley Stutts said, “There was no looting, burnings, shootings, littering and every one was kind and considerate.

"hey were productive citizens who went home and woke up the next morning and went back to work.”

Stutts and Cline also gave credit to God for helping the large team of DNR, county agencies, Coast Guard and FBI help organize this historic boat parade.

Stutts said, “It’s another signal to President Trump – the silent majority is with you.

"When you can put 30,000 people on a lake the Sunday after the 4th of July, that’s saying something.

"It shows you the undercurrent of the American people – how they really feel.”
