Lexington County's 5 districts report 36 schools are infected with covid-19.
That's an increase of 12 more schools.
In some schools both students and employees were infected.
Health officials continue to disguise exact case numbers in reporting "fewer than 5 cases."
At only Lexington High School did they report 7 students infected.
Lexington District 1 reports specific case numbers on its website.
Department of Health and Environmental Control officials says they do this to protect privacy.
Rep. Chip Huggins has joined the Chronicle in asking the governor to force disclosure of specific numbers but not individual students or faculty names.
Bill Rogers of the SC Press Association, said “The exact number of cases is no violation of anyone’s privacy.”
