SC health officials reported Friday that 6 deaths occurred Thursday.

2 Lexington County deaths occurred August 13 and 24.

3 Richland County deaths occurred August 16, 22 and 25.

6 SC deaths occurred Thursday

24 new cases in Lexington County, 76 in Richland County

SC health officials reported Friday that 6 deaths occurred Thursday.

2 Lexington County deaths occurred August 13 and 24.

3 Richland County deaths occurred August 16, 22 and 25.

Over the last 7 days, 28 deaths have occurred in SC.

That averaged 4 a day, a drop from the 55 deaths a day peak in July.

DHEC also announced Friday:

- 903 new confirmed cases and 34 new probable cases.

- 23 additional confirmed deaths and 5 new probable deaths.

22 of those deaths occurred earlier.

- Total confirmed cases to date are 114,400, probable cases 1,551, confirmed deaths 2,521 and 134 probable deaths.

- As of Thursday, 989,673 tests have been conducted in the state. 

5,751 individual test results were reported to DHEC statewide Thursday not including antibody tests.

- Of these, 15.7% tested positive as infected.

That means 84.3% tested negative as uninfected.
