Miske had no family to help take care of his final arrangements. The Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Program serves to insure every unclaimed veteran is provided with respectful burial.

Miske served in the US Navy in the Vietnam war, receiving a National Defense Service Meda, and a Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star.

A service with military honors for Miske will be held Friday at 10 am at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
