China accused of hiding covid-19 origin

Wilson, Graham lead effort to expose deceit

Congressman Joe Wilson has called for closing live wildlife markets where covid-19 originated.
House Resolution 922 comes on the heels of a letter from more than 60 members of Congress, led in the Senate by  Sens. Lindsey Graham and Cory Booker.
The letter went to directors of the  World Health Organization, World Organisation for Animal Health and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
It noted that scientists studying diseases that jump from animals to humans have pointed to the wildlife markets in countries around the world as prime transmitters for pathogens like covid-19.
Marty Irby, Executive Director at Animal Wellness Action  said, “The pandemic we are faced with today has clearly proven that live animal markets filled with bats, pangolins, and other exotic creatures must be eradicated not only for the well-being of animals, but for the safety and security of the human race.”
Congressman Wilson of Springdale said, “China’s efforts to conceal this origin of the corona virus should not be tolerated. It is important that China immediately close live wildlife markets.”
