Have you had your chocolate fix today?

Have you squirreled away enough of the sweet stuff to get you through the winter?

There’s bad news ahead.

An international cartel is coming for your pocketbook.

The West African nations of Ivory Coast and Ghana produce more than 60% of the world’s cocoa.

They have conspired to control global prices of chocolate, The Wall Street Journal reported. This is expected to raise the cost of candy bars, ice cream and cake.

Starting in October, they aim to charge $400 more a metric ton of cocoa trading now at $2,500 a ton.

Some chocolate companies have already begun buying at higher prices.
