Congressman calls on Biden to resign

'Terrorists threaten American families'

Congressman Joe Wilson wants President Biden and other administration officials to resign.

“American families are more at risk of a terrorist attack than ever before," the Springdale Republican said.

"Aug. 31, 2021 is a day of infamy. The Biden administration’s unconditional surrender in Afghanistan has put the US back to where we were before Sept. 11, 2001, susceptible to murderous attacks.

"Between this crisis and the crisis at the southern border, which I gruesomely saw this past weekend in Del Rio, Texas, this administration has consistently undermined the defense of American families.

“And on this day, a deadline established by the Taliban, the United States of America left hundreds of Americans and thousands of allies to face a murderous fate.

"As a member of Congress who has traveled with Joe Biden to Iraq and Germany, I believe he knows this is catastrophic.

"This failure of leadership is the reason that I am calling for the resignation of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and for the firing of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

"When this withdrawal results in an attack at home and the murder of American families, it is clear that the current government will not be able to respond responsibly. This is not peace in our time.

"The Global War on Terrorism is not over. Instead, it has moved from Afghanistan to every neighborhood across America.”

Wilson later amended his remarks.

“I sadly need to amend my media statement yesterday calling for Joe Biden to resign for endangering American families, leaving them vulnerable to terrorist attacks.

"I had purposefully not called for the firing the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley because I could not imagine he would betray citizens or military by leaving them behind to be murdered.

"He abandoned Bagram Airbase and military equipment which will lead to countless deaths of Americans.

“With his obsequious and disgusting media meltdown today calling for Taliban collaboration, Mark Milley should be fired immediately for the sake of protecting American families.

“As a 31-year veteran and the grateful father of four sons serve in Iraq, Egypt, the Southern Border, and Afghanistan, Mark Milley stabbed me in the heart, he cannot be trusted to not desert our military allies. Milley should be ashamed and apologize to all military families. With a Biden adopting the appeasement of Neville Chamberlain which led to war, we now have a disgraced military officer adopting the attributes of Benedict Arnold. Milley can still resign before being fired.

“When the attacks move from abroad to American families at home, blood will be on Milley’s hands. The academic or corporate enrichments promised him will be blood money.”
