Amicks Ferry Road construction began this week at the site District 5’s new elementary school in Chapin.

This work will add turn lanes on Amicks Ferry Road and Lake Tide Drive in preparation for opening Elementary School 13 in fall 2021.

Construction crews will begin working daily at 9 am until 4 pm to avoid rush hour traffiuc 

Construcction is to be completed by the end of October.

Drivers are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working adjacent to traffic and allow extra travel time.
