The Lexington Police Department will continue fundraising efforts to support Special Olympics athletics with two days of “Cops on the Coop” events at the Chick-fil-A Saluda Pointe restaurant on Wednesday, September 19 and Thursday, September 20, 2018.
Lexington Police Department officers, along with help from Volunteers In Police Services (V.I.P.S.) members, will be at Chick-fil-A Saluda Pointe, 4295 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day of the “Cops on the Coop” fundraising.
Officers and V.I.P.S. will be collecting donations of cash, check or credit card at the restaurant entrance and in the drive thru lane area.  Chick-fil-A will be giving away complimentary treat or sandwich cards to use at a later visit and there will be Special Olympics apparel and other items available for purchase.
All money donated will be given to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics to directly support the over 25,000 Special Olympics athletes in South Carolina.
Please visit the Special Olympics South Carolina website along with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics website for more information.
