Covid-19 claims 11 in SC, none in Lexington County

1 death, 125 new cases in Richland County

SC health officials today reported 11 new confirmed deaths yesterday in the state.

None were in Lexington County but 1 was in Richland County.

They also reported 45 confirmed and 3 probable new cases in Lexington County and 125 in Richland County.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control today announced:

- 1,346 new confirmed cases and 15 new probable cases.

- 45 more confirmed deaths.

These are cumulative figures reported late but occurring over several weeks in July.

This brings the annual confirmed cases to 88,523 probable cases to 493, confirmed deaths to 1,647, and 65 probable deaths.

An additional case of Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C).

The patient is between the ages of 10-17 from the Upstate.

This brings the number of MIS-C cases in South Carolina to 6.

As of yesterday, 755,034 tests have been conducted in the state.

7,065 individual test results were reported to DHEC yesterday  not including antibody tests.

19.1% tested positive as infected with covid-19.
