Lexington County lost 5 elderly lives to covid-19 last week.
It was the highest number of county deaths reported on a single day.
They were the 1st county deaths reported since Wednesday.
2 other deaths were reported in Richland County Saturday.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control Saturday announced:
- 36 more confirmed SC deaths and 5 new probable deaths.
- 831 new confirmed SC cases and 52 new probable cases.
Lexington County had 49 new cases and Richland County 64 reported Saturday.
- Confirmed cases to date are 167,885, probable cases 8,727, confirmed deaths 3,686, and 249 probable deaths.

- As of Friday, 1,993,561 tests have been conducted in the state.
- 6,097 individual test results were reported to DHEC yesterday statewide.
Of those the percent tested positive as infected was 13.6%.
That means 86.3% tested negative as virus free.
