44 more confirmed SC deaths and 11 probable deaths were reported Sunday.

2 elderly confirmed Lexington County deaths occurred Dec. 6 nd 7.

1 elderly probable Richland County death occurred Dec. 1.

Lexington County had 148 more reported covid cases Sunday.

Richland County had 198 cases, the 3rd highest in SC.

Greenville continued highest in the state with 494 reported cases Sunday.

Spartanburg was 2nd with 308 cases.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control Sunday announced these updates.

  • Confirmed and probable deaths: 4,387/352
  • Tests performed for South Carolinians: 3,096,815

Testing opportunities (scdhec.gov/findatest)

  • Testing opportunities available statewide: 301

Percent positive (scdhec.gov/COVID19dashboard)

  • 13,749 new individual test results reported statewide (not including antibody tests)
  • 21.3%  tested positive as infected.
  • That means 78.7% tested negative as uninfected.
