93 residents have died but no staff

Despite efforts to protect people, covid has hit the retirement community hard.
The latest Department of Health and Environmental Control data shows that 12 Lexington County nursing and retirement homes have suffered 93 resident deaths but lost no staff.
A total of 495 residents and 306 staff have been infected at the homes.
• Extended Care in Lexington, SC’s largest nursing home, reported 182 residents and 89 staffers infected and 35 residents died.
• NHC in West Columbia had 118 residents and 77 staff infected, 25 deaths.
• Colonial Gardens had 6 staff and 7 resident infections but no deaths.
• Oak Leaf Village in Lexington reported 27 residents and 12 staff infections and 7 resident deaths.
• Brian Center reported 39 residents and 22 staff infections and 5 deaths.
• Wellmore of Lexington reported 10 residents and 11 staff infections and 1 death.
• Still Hopes in Cayce had 5 residents and 22 staff infections and 1 death.
• Laurel Crest had reported 7 residents and 11 staff infections and 1 death. 
• Opus Post reported 49 residents and 29 staff infections and 10 deaths.
• Jenni-Lynn in West Columbia had 32 residents and 10 staff infected, 3 deaths.
• Lexington Place had 16 residents and 3 staff infected and 1 death
. • Presbyterian Community had 30 residents and 19 staff infected and 4 deaths.
