DETECTIVES SEEK SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN ARMED ROBBERY

Chief Terrence Green is asking the Town of Lexington
community for assistance if they know the whereabouts of Joshua Emmanuel Boyd and have
identification information of an unknown black male suspect who were both involved together in
a recent armed robbery incident.
On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, a victim living on the 300 block of Railroad Avenue answered
a knock at her front door to find two black males, each armed with handguns, who forced the
victim into her home and held a gun to her head while demanding money. During the incident
the suspects threatened to hurt the victim’s baby who was also at the residence. The suspects
rummaged through the residence and stole approximately $400 in cash, a mobile phone, a
television and a handgun before fleeing.
During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Joshua Emmanuel Boyd,
age 24 of Lexington, South Carolina, as being one of the suspects involved in this incident. The
second black male suspect is described as approximately six foot tall, weighing 180 pounds and
possibly having dreads. He was dressed a jacket, dark beanie hat and wearing jeans during the
incident.
The Lexington Police Department has arrest warrants for Joshua Emmanuel Boyd for the
charges of Armed Robbery, Burglary 1 st Degree, Assault & Battery 1 st Degree, and Possession
of a Handgun during the Commission of a Violent Crime along with two charges of Kidnapping.
