Driver identified in fatal Two Notch motorcycle collision

A motorcyclist died Sept. 26 following a motor vehicle collision at the 960 block of Two Notch Road in Lexington.

According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Dallas Ashton Kalin, 23, of Lexington was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at an area hospital as a result of multiple traumatic injuries. 

Kalin, who was wearing a helmet, was traveling west when an oncoming vehicle turned left in front of him, and his motorcycle collided with the vehicle. 

The driver of the vehicle was not injured. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
