Firefighters rescue 4 on the river
Swiftwater rescue teams were needed on the Saluda River near Riverbanks Zoo after 4 people became stranded on part of the Mill Race dam due to high water levels.

Make sure you and those with you are experienced on the river.
The Columbia Fire Department says they’ve rescued 4 people on the Saluda River near the Riverbanks Zoo Saturday afternoon.
This area is on the Lexington County border.
The Columbia Fire Department’s swiftwater rescue team rescued 4 people who were stranded at the Mill Race dam because of high water.
Everyone was rescued and brought safely to shore.
