Businessman and former Lexington County Councilman Ned Tolar died at Lexington Medical Center Sunday.
Tolar never completely recovered from an auto accident 2 years ago, said family friend Scott Adams.
Tolar's car was hit by another vehicle at Sunset Boulevard and Old Cherokee Road in Lexington.
Tolar suffered 3 broken vertebra and lost a kidney.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki.
Tolar had represented Council District 8 on Lexington County Council.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
