4,200 hazmat suits, 1,000 hand sanitizer kits to law enforcement

Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity has joined the fight against covid-19.
As of May 1, they have distributed nearly $50,000 worth of personal protection equipment, the Chronicle's Chuch McCurry reported.
That includes 4,200 hazmat suits, 1,000 hand sanitizer kits to law enforcement, food to families in need and many other supplies.
Served by the donations are Lexington Medical Center, Prisma Health, Self Regional Medical Center, Emergency management offices in Spartanburg, Chester, Lancaster, Laurens counties and the SC Department of Corrections.
The hand sanitizer kits went to the SC Highway Patrol, Cayce Public Safety and Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
