Are you a health care giver or know someone who is?

If you have not had your vaccine yet, now is the time to do it.

DHEC reports 69,959 care givers are scheduled to be vaccinated.  

Vaccinations for Phase 1a are to continue to February for

  • Residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
  • Health care givers critical to the mission of preventing death.
  • For a complete list of those currently considered in Phase 1a, click here

As of Wednesday, SC has received 146,250 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

52,163 health care givers in Phase 1a have received their 1st dose.

1,107 have now received their 2nd dose.

 To speed up the vaccinations, Phase 1a individuals must contact a provider for an appointment by Jan. 15.

As vaccine doses increase, vaccinations will expand to include:

  •  Phase 1b (Late Winter 2021):
    • Frontline essential workers (sectors included by ACIP: firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers, food and agricultural workers, USPS workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, and those who work in the educational sector—teachers, support staff, and daycare workers)
    • All people aged 75 years and older
  • Phase 1c (Early Spring 2021):
    • All people aged 65 – 74 years and older
    • People aged 16 – 64 years with certain underlying health conditions that puts them at high risk for severe disease (list by CDC)
    • Other essential workers (examples included by ACIP: people who work in transportation and logistics, food service, housing construction and finance, information technology, communications, energy, law, media, public safety, and public health staff who are non-frontline healthcare workers).
  • Phase 2 (Late Spring-Fall 2021)
    • ALL people who wish to be vaccinated 
    • Ages per recommendations by ACIP
