Hurricane Sally made landfall early today near Gulf Shores, AL.
Forecasters warned of potentially deadly storm surges and flash floods.
Up to 2 feet of rain and possible tornadoes are expected.
Lexington County, the Carolinas and Georgia are not expected to escape its impact.
A flash flood watch goes into effect Thursday at 8 am.
Heavy rain will begin tonight through Thursday and into Friday.
As much as 3 to 5 inches will be possible in the Carolinas.
A strong cold front will push through Friday bringing in drier and colder air this weekend.
High temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s with low temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
