I-20 westbound fatality

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died as a result of a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 westbound, near mile marker 57, at approximately 5:30 pm on Sept. 20.
Benjamin Edward Parker, 44, of Douglasville, Georgia was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries, according tp Fisher. The tractor trailer driven by Parker left the right side of the roadway and collided with a bridge pillar. He was the only occupant of the vehicle, and he was wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
