Kid's Day in Lexington is this Saturday

Arrive early for parking, expect traffic delays

Posted

Kid's Day of Lexington is Saturday at Virginia Hylton Park and the Icehouse Amphitheater from 10 am to 2 pm.

Church Street at Main Street and South Lake Drive at Maiden Lane will also be affected by pedestrian traffic.

The Lexington community should be on the look out for pedestrians crossing the road and expect traffic delays around those areas.

Officers will be assisting in directing and stopping traffic during this event to ensure the safety of those in the crosswalk.
Please only cross the street at designated crosswalks.

Main Street private business parking lots off of Maiden Lane will still be open during this time. Parking will be for customers only.

Those attending the Kids Day of Lexington will need to find a place to park in a public parking lot.
Arrive early to find a parking space in the designated public parking areas at the Lexington County Courthouses, Lexington County Administration Building on South Lake Drive along with the newly opened Town of Lexington grass lot public parking areas on South Church Street near Hendrix Street.

As a reminder, there will be no overnight parking at the Town of Lexington Municipal Complex, Virginia Hylton Park or the Icehouse Amphitheater parking lots on Friday, April 26. Vehicles found in these parking lots on the morning of Saturday, April 27, 2019, will be towed at the owner’s expense.
