Lexington armed robbery suspect wanted

Chief Terrence Green is asking the Town of Lexington community for assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

A male suspect robbed the CVS Pharmacy at 5608 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington early Thursday morning.

Witnesses stated the man entered the store and presented a handgun along with a note demanding a list of prescription medications.

During the incident, the armed robber stole several of the store employee’s mobile phones before fleeing the scene in a white KIA Optima driven by an unknown accomplice.

Officers found the victims’ mobile phones discarded near the scene and the white KIA Optima was found a short time later in in the City of Columbia. The vehicle had been stolen prior to being used in this incident. 

Detectives are looking for a black male, age late teens to early 20’s, who is approximately 5’7” in height and weighing 125-140 pounds. 
He was dressed in a green VANS hoodie sweatshirt, orange pants with white stripes down the leg, black with white tennis shoes and had long black hair that may have been partially dreaded. 

Anyone who knows the identity of the armed robber, or the accomplice, involved in this armed robbery incident, is asked to contact Detective Johnson at 803-358-1557.
