Lexington County records most new cases in SC

DHEC asked how long these cases were recorded

SC health officials Sunday reported Lexington County had the most new covid-19 cases.

Richland County had the next highest count with 58 new cases.

The Chronicle has asked for a timeline of when these cases were discovered.

Sunday, the Department of Health and Environmental Control also announced:

- 569 new confirmed cases and 16 new probable cases.

- 3 additional confirmed deaths.

1 of the victims was middle aged and died Sept. 9.

Confirmed cases to date are 141,909, probable cases 3,978, confirmed deaths 3,144 and 182 probable deaths.

Testing update
As of Saturday, 1,363,195 tests have been conducted in the state.

4,118 individual test results were reported to DHEC Saturday.

Of those, the positive test result was 13.8% infected.

That means 86.2% tested negative as uninfected.
