Some staff tested positive for covid-19

Some Lexington Family Practice employees in West Columbia have tested positive for covid-19.

To ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors, Lexington Medical Center temporarily closed the practice for a deep cleaning, hospital spokesperson Jennifer Wilson said.

As the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control has reported, Lexington County has seen an increase in covid-19 cases this week.

The hospital strongly encourages the community to continue following CDC guidelines  including wearing masks, using hand sanitizer and washing hands thoroughly.

Patients with questions can call the practice at (803) 791-3494 and leave a voice mail message.

Someone will return their calls as soon as possible.
