Lexington police have arrested Jesse Wayne Richards, 31, of Lexington.
Richards had fled the state after his involvement in an attempted armed robbery July 10 in the Town of Lexington.
On the afternoon of the incident, Jesse Richards drove his stepson, co-defendant Cooper Cole, 17, to the Towne Centre II shopping complex on the 900 block of North Lake Drive in Lexington.
Cole reportedly approached an elderly female victim with a knife in his hand and demanded money. The victim did not have any money to give, and Cole fled from the scene on foot.
He was later picked up in the vehicle driven by Richards.
Richards fled South Carolina after the incident.
He was arrested in Tennessee on the Attempted Armed Robbery and Conspiracy warrants and was extradited to South Carolina on November 14 to the Lexington County Detention Center.
Richards was given a bond of $30,000.
Cole was arrested July 30 and charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Conspiracy.
He was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center and given a $3,000 bond.
