Local police are stepping up action as illegal opioid sales hit the internet.
Federal officials say they find offers of opioids on social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Google, Yahoo and Bing.
A Lexington Police Department detective has been assigned to the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team.
