Lexington Medical Center will restart elective procedures Monday.
The hospital, its physician practices and Urgent Care centers will be open to see patients who postponed needed procedures and visits, said LMC spokesperson Jennifer Wilson.
Hospital staff screens patients with scheduled appointments and procedures by telephone before their visits to ask about possible covid-19 symptoms or exposure.
They encourage covid-19 lab testing prior to performing high-risk procedures.
Patients are using designated entrances to minimize contact with others.
Staff check temperatures of every employee, patient and visitor on arrival.
All employees, patients and visitors are required to wear a mask.
If a patient does not have a mask, one will be provided.
Appointments, procedures and waiting areas are spaced to practice social distancing.
Covid-19 patients are seen in separate rooms.
All LMC physician practices offer telehealth visits through computers or mobile devices.
