The League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area offers the nonpartisan election resource VOTE411.org . This “one-stop shop” for election information provides simple, helpful tools to help South Carolina voters navigate the voting process. VOTE411 provides candidate information, a voter reqgistration tool, polling place information, and other helpful election information for all voters nationwide.
“Voters in Richland and Lexington Counties need simple, accessible tools to help them navigate the voting process before Election Day,” said Dr. Laura Woliver, President, LWVCA. “VOTE411 is the nation’s premiere online election resource, and the League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area has published our voter guide on VOTE411 to serve as a resource for all races at the local, state and national levels for Richland and Lexington County voters.”
The League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area also encourages all registered voters to vote by absentee ballot and to vote early. All South Carolina registered voters are eligible to vote by absentee ballot in the Nov. 3 General Election through Nov. 2. Registered voters in Lexington County can apply to vote by absentee ballot and cast their ballots in person on a voting machine all in 1 stop at 605 West Main Street- Suite C, Lexington.
South Carolinians also have the options of absentee voting by mail or voting in person at their precinct on Nov. 3. Voters must present a voter ID when voting in person and should wear a mask.
VOTE411 helps millions of voters each year—many of them young people and 1st-time voters—learn about candidate stances, look up what is on their ballot, find their polling place, and more.
“The League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area is pleased to provide this important, nonpartisan resource to Richland and Lexington County voters,” said Woliver. “We encourage voters to visit VOTE411 to make a voting plan so they are prepared to cast their vote informed and confidently!”

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
